Nobody under 21 may browse, buy or receive an order, and this page explains how we check and what happens when a check fails.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
You must be 21 or older to enter this site, hold an account, place an order or take delivery of one. This applies in every market we serve, without exception.
We use 21 deliberately. It is above the legal minimum in most of the countries we ship to, and it gives a single, unambiguous rule across the whole storefront.
Where a destination country sets a higher age for a specific product, the higher age applies to that product.
Age is checked at more than one point, because a single gate is easy to defeat and proves nothing.
The gate is a hard interstitial. Product imagery, prices and descriptions are not rendered behind it, and the page cannot be dismissed by scrolling or by pressing escape.
A pass is remembered for 30 days in the cbs_agegate cookie so you are not asked on every page. Clearing cookies or switching device brings the gate back.
The gate is not a substitute for real verification. It is a first filter, and the checks in section 4 do the substantive work.
At checkout you must confirm, actively, that you are at least 21, that you are buying for your own personal use, and that the products are lawful at your delivery address. The order cannot proceed without all three.
Orders are risk-scored. A higher score triggers a verification step before dispatch: a match against an electoral, credit or population register through our verification provider, or where that is unavailable, a document check.
Signals that raise the score include a delivery address that has previously failed a check, a billing and delivery mismatch across countries, a freight-forwarder address, a disposable email domain, an unusually large first order, and repeated failed attempts from one device.
Where a register check cannot confirm your age, we ask for a government-issued identity document showing your date of birth. A passport, national identity card or driving licence is acceptable.
Documents are submitted through the verification provider's secure upload, never by email and never through a support ticket. You may redact everything except your name, date of birth, document type and expiry.
We receive a pass or fail result and a check reference. We do not receive or store the document image. See the Privacy Policy for retention.
A failed check does not automatically mean we believe you are under age. Register coverage is patchy in some countries and recent movers frequently fail.
The order is placed on hold and you are told by email, with a plain explanation and one route to resolve it.
Where a check confirms the customer is under 21, the order is cancelled and refunded, the account is closed, and the email address, device fingerprint and delivery address are blocked from future orders.
We keep a minimal record of the refusal as evidence of compliance. We do not keep the underlying document or any data beyond what proves the refusal.
Where the pattern suggests an adult is buying on behalf of a minor, we treat it as a breach of the Acceptable Use Policy and apply the same blocks.
On adult-signature services the carrier must see photographic proof of age before handing over the parcel and must refuse to leave it with anyone under 21.
Parcels that cannot be handed over are returned to a pickup point, where the same check applies at collection, and then back to us. The Shipping Policy explains how undeliverable parcels are refunded.
Safe-place, neighbour and unattended delivery instructions cannot be applied to age-restricted shipments.
Proxy purchasing — buying an age-restricted product to pass it to someone under 21 — is prohibited and is a criminal offence in several of the countries we ship to.
Gift orders are allowed only where the recipient is also 21 or older and is able to satisfy the delivery-point check. The person named on the label must be the person who signs.
We reserve the right to refuse any gift order we cannot verify.
Our marketing is not directed at anyone under 21. We do not use imagery, language, characters or placements aimed at minors, and we apply age targeting on every advertising channel that supports it.
Social accounts use platform age gates where available, and affiliates and influencers must confirm that their audience is predominantly of legal age before promoting us.
Age-restricted metadata is published on our pages so parental-control and content-filter software can classify the site correctly.
Staff who handle orders are trained on this policy, on refusal procedures and on how to escalate an attempted proxy purchase.
Verification records are retained for 5 years and are available to regulators on lawful request.
We review this policy at least annually, and immediately when a market changes its rules on age-restricted distance selling.
If you believe a minor has ordered from this site, or that an account is being used for proxy purchasing, write to legal@calibudsupply.com. Reports are treated confidentially.
Parents and guardians who want an account associated with a minor removed should contact privacy@calibudsupply.com.
